Date : 28 Sep 2012
Venue : SIMTech Auditorium, Tower Block, Level 3
You are cordially invited to the annual Manufacturing Productivity Technology Centre (MPTC) Conference and Technology Exhibition 2012. This event will be held in conjunction with the annual National RFID Centre User Conference on 28 September 2012 from 9.00am to 5.00pm at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), a research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).
Distinguished Professor Jay Lee from the University of Cincinnati will deliver a keynote speech on “Recent Advances in Predictive Technologies for Next-Generation Near Zero Breakdown Manufacturing and Service Systems”. As more smart software and embedded intelligence are integrated in industrial systems, infotronics-based prognostics technologies can further intertwine intelligent algorithms with electronics and tether-free intelligence to predict system performance degradation and autonomously manage and maximise system availability leading to downtime loss reduction and improvement in manufacturing productivity.
Other presentations in the morning session include discussions relating to productivity challenges, lean manufacturing and overall equipment effectiveness innovation. There will be 2 parallel tracks in the afternoon session. One on “RFID for Productivity Improvement” where end-user companies will share their RFID implementation experiences and leading RFID technology providers will unveil their latest RFID solutions. The other is on “Productivity through Industrial Automation” where industry and academic experts will shed light on the challenges, applications and developments of robotic automation to raise productivity.
This annual event will showcase an array of RFID technologies, manufacturing automation and technologies for productivity improvement for industry to tap and develop capabilities for productivity improvement.
The participating exhibitors include Anewtech Systems Pte Ltd, Bartronics Asia Pte Ltd, CAD-IT Consultants (Asia) Pte Ltd, Daifuku Mechatronics (S) Pte Ltd, JM Vistec System Pte Ltd, Keyence Singapore Pte Ltd, LHT Holdings Ltd, Leaptron Engineering Pte Ltd, Singapore Communications (Wavex) Pte Ltd, Smartag Solutions Bhd, TCM RFiD Pte Ltd, Tignernix Pte Ltd, VGTag iN-Solution Pte Ltd and Zabrocia Pte Ltd, Universal-Robot Distributor and Service Centre.
Some 250 delegates from the manufacturing industry, government agencies and research organisations are expected to attend this event.
This event is non-chargeable and is also qualified for 5 PDUs (Professional Development Units) by PEB (Professional Engineers Board).
We look forward to welcoming you to the MPTC Conference and Technology Exhibition at SIMTech.
