Success Story Of Townsville City Council In News

On the 2nd of July, 2021, an article posted by Cecilia Harris at Water Source probed a critical issue faced by many regional councils in Australia in managing and maintaining essential assets of expansive Water Service Infrastructure and providing uninterrupted services to their target communities.

To dive deep into this issue, Eng. Sen Vigneswaran- the Asset Management Services Manager of the Townsville City Council- was interviewed to learn how one particular Queensland Council has successfully gained the power of technology by partnering with Tigernix to tackle asset-related issues effortlessly. Eng. Sen explains how Water Infrastructures are elastic and will be expanded to dispersed communities, which demanded a more innovative solution to manage assets in their water utility systems; thus, Tigernix was chosen as their solution provider.

According to Eng. Sen, Tigernix Asset Condition-based Solutions assisted the Townsville City Council in:

  • Accumulating insightful data to tailor investment profiles valid for 10 upcoming fiscal years,
  • Enabling a comprehensive and updated simulation technology (digital twin) to enable and maintain the Ross River Dam Infrastructure,
  • Predicting asset risks, failures, and delays 10 years before the occurrence,
  • Providing Asset Services that can be further extended to their wastewater systems in the future.

Tigernix would like to convey a heartfelt thanks to Eng. Sen Vigneswaran for sharing his thoughts and experiences in employing the user-defined Tigernix Asset Solutions that assisted Townsville City Council in managing assets and foreseeing asset defects, and preventing them before incidence. Click here to read the full article.
